Since the Pakistani Team lost the semi finals, I & my office colleagues have started playing cricket in the office after we finish our work. It is time to bring new talent in the ground :). It is kind of fun & entertaining thing to do for an hour or so. The good part is that a friend of mine don’t let me ball whenever she is batting. Well! Am I that danger? No! I am one normal harmless person :). They even say every time when I take the bat that now I will stick to the wicket for long… “Get him out”. So they don’t want me to play :) but I love it anyway. It always gives me a pleasure to hold the bat again. I was a good player long time back when I had my own Cricket team in Saudi Arabia & yes one of the best teams to be very honest but then due to politics in the game, I left the team & almost after 7-8 years I took the bat in my hands again when I was in Tando Adam with my cousins & yes I really enjoyed that moment. In the office, we are not playing with the real bat or the real ball. We use a file as the bat & a paper ball. Yes! I know we are intelligent people. It’s a good thing we do that. Otherwise we would have broken monitors as well as injured people lying around the office floor. We will be shifting to another venue soon & then I think we will not have the space to do all this. I will be missing this then.
A moron known as Terry Jones “Pastor” burned the Holy book “Quran” and posted the video on internet. Well! Moron is not the right word to define this non human thing so I will keep my blog clean as possible but yes I can call him nothing but a bustard. Oops! I said it. After he did what he did, the US government did not make any statement against this act nor any action was taken but when a few UN members died & some other Americans were killed in Afghanistan, they have now come out with a statement saying that he did what he did and we do not want to give him any importance but what was done in Afghanistan is shameful. Oh! Yes it is. So go ahead & sue them.
Oh after the previous joke, let me tell you another one. ICC has confirmed a controversial decision to slash the 2015 and 2019 World Cups to just 10 teams, despite widespread objections. On this I actually like the heading of Wisden Cricket magazine which is “Why would you want to take the world out of the World Cup?” This is really unfair with the rest of the teams. Every team should be given a equal chance. This game does not belong to a single country or a region or maybe this is not a game anymore. It is more like business. Small teams are not good for match fixing as they do not help the bookies in making any cash. So why keep them there? Yes! Kick them all & play all alone. They should remove the word “WORLD” From the World cup. Make it a tea cup or ICC cup…
