Was not really feeling to write anything for the past two days as I just wanted to relax & do nothing but even this can’t be done on weekends as each member of your family looks at your lazy behaviors with those suspicious looks & ask are you taking us out or not. Well! I don’t answer that coz I know what could be the result.
So I left the journey of Lahore on the “Yaadgar” with a link of Aamir Saleem’s song on my last blog. Let me take you back there. I think I can write a whole book on my trip to Lahore. Can you believe it that it was last weekend when I was in Lahore & still I have not finished my journey in the blog.
So there we were beside Menar-e-Pakistan taking some snaps & fighting with the heat. Kept on drinking water & trying to avoid strange beggars. After wondering around the Menar, we decided to walk towards the Qila & Badshahi Mosque. I have been here before as well & the last time I missed the Qila. So we decided to go there first. As we went towards the ticket window, there was a very strange sign saying “For foreigners ticket price = 200/Rs.“ I was just wondering when suddenly a girl in a group standing just beside us asked the same question from the person on the other side of the window that how do u know they are foreigners. Question was totally valid as no one shows his/her passport. What if someone from India? They would never recognize. The person was speechless. Good going girls…
We started wondering inside the Qila & found it so bad in shape. It was taking a huge space but nothing much to see as no one ever cared for it. There was renovation going in some of the areas but don’t really know how long it will take them to bring it back into a good shape. They can never bring it to its original shape.
Now after visiting the Qila we were so tired that we decided to go back. Back where? Well back to the station & back to the home sweet home. We took a chingchi & there we were back from where we started a day back. We went to the info counter & then to the ticket counter & took two tickets for the first train back to our home. The generous lady that handed over the tickets to me did not even mention the seat numbers on the ticket. I noticed it went I was standing at a store & ordering some snacks. I send my friend back to the stupid lady while I shopped for some snack. When we got the numbers there, it was 84 & 92. Are they near to each other or are they opposite. So just to reduce my confusion I went back to the same stupid lady & asked the question & she said you would have to adjust as there are no more seats available. Oh GOD! Adjust... This is a story itself.
Sitting on the station, having our so called lunch with some drinks, discussing the trip & waiting for the train which was thanks GOD not late. We even received the call from that same friend that ignored me at Pizzahut that don’t go now. Your tickets would be paid. Go tomorrow. Yeah sure, so I could be ignored again. No way was the answer & you would again have to wait for the upcoming adventure….
